Henderson Creek Lodge offers a great place for a snowmobile vacation in Idaho. Since we’re a vacation home with the Big Hole Mountains next door, there is some great snowmobile access right from our front door. You’re still close to Jackson Hole but with fewer people, you’ll find less people tracking up the powder!
Click here for a snowmobile map of the Big Hole Mountains. In the winter you can pretty much snowmobile anywhere it is permitted and this map of the summer trails will give you an idea on where you can get through the trees.
Why hassle with loading a trailer every day when you’re seconds from the trail head? A snowmobile vacation can be a lot more fun, too! The Big Hole Mountains in Teton Valley Idaho offers some great snow-machine and snowmobile terrain. For a maps and information call the Forest Service at (208)354-2312. They’re located in Driggs, Idaho.
For a great snowmobile/snow machine shop, we recommend the Racin Station in Driggs, Idaho. http://www.racinstation.biz/index.htm They’re a great dealer, repair, and rental shop! Got gear head questions? Then ask to speak to Eric. He really knows his stuff. (208)-354-2777. And, from what I’ve seen, they’re prices on parts are just as good as what you’ll find on the web.
And when you stay and Henderson Creek Lodge, the whole family can warm themselves by the fabulous wood stove after a fun day in the powder. And if you’re ready for something different, you’ll love the fact that you’re at a vacation home near Jackson Hole. In fact, Jackson Hole is just 35 minutes away! And the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is just a few more minutes to boot!
One thing we do ask of snowmobile riders is that you ride straight from the house to the National Forest. Our neighbors like having frequent visits from wildlife and appreciate it when snowmobile riders and dirt bikers minimize noise near private lands. But that won’t keep you from having fun, cause it only takes seconds to get to the National Forest when you spend a snowmobile vacation at Henderson Creek Lodge in the Jackson Hole area!
